We are officially releasing the LED lighting kit for the Olympus BH2 BHT, BHTU, and CK2.

 We have revamped the LED lighting kit for the Olympus BH2 BHT, BHTU, and CK2. Due to the depreciation of the yen and the rising cost of materials, we have brought the production of components in-house that had increased in price tenfold. The performance remains unchanged, but the appearance is now even sleeker.

The LED is rated at 19W and is about 1.2 times brighter than a 100W halogen lamp without a filter, and approximately 2.5 times brighter than a 100W halogen lamp with a blue filter. The original halogen lamp was 20W, so we expect the brightness to be more than 10 times greater.

The LED is flicker-free, but when dimmed, you may notice banding when shooting at high shutter speeds. To prevent this, set the light source to maximum brightness and place a camera variable ND filter over the light source lens to dim the light. A filter with a diameter of 55 mm is suitable.
