While observing morning dew on a leaf with a field microscope, I discovered that convection occurs when sunlight hits the dew. I observed the movement of particles inside the dew, caused by convection triggered by the heat of the morning sun. The motion was quite vigorous, resembling a snow globe. On the other hand, leaf water did not appear to contain any particles, so I could not observe convection in it. The particles inside the dew seem to originate from the surface of the leaf.
