Microscopic Observation of Guttation

Continuing from last week, I observed guttation under the microscope again. Cold mornings are ideal for using the field microscope because there is no strong wind. This time, I processed the captured photos before combining them with focus stacking, resulting in a much cleaner outcome compared to last time.

The sparkling stars within the droplets are sunlight refracted through the guttation. They appear as a line of stars along the edge of the leaf. Today was sunny, which allowed me to capture this kind of photo.

It made me wonder—perhaps glass beads could be used to create fisheye-style microscopic photography.
