The new model of the LED illumination kit for Nikon L-type and S-type microscopes has been completed.
The appearance remains the same as the previous model. The LED chip used in the previous model is no longer available, so we are now using a new LED chip. Brightness has increased by approximately 1/3 stop compared to the previous version.
We intended to increase the brightness further, but it seems we've reached the structural limit, and no further increase was possible. The brightness is equivalent to a 100W halogen lamp, making it significantly brighter than the original 30W tungsten lamp.
When taking photos or videos, flickering may occur at shutter speeds faster than 1/200 second. To avoid this, set the illumination to its maximum brightness. At maximum brightness, the light may be too intense, so we recommend placing a variable ND filter (for cameras) over the lens of the light source to adjust the brightness. Variable ND filters for cameras are available on Amazon and similar retailers.
The price for customers outside Japan is USD 200 including shipping.
