 These are pollen of azalea observed by epi polarized microscopy. These pollens are fresh, just hatched out from the anther. The shape of pollen like a triangular pyramid with its surface dented round. Very unique pollen.

落射偏光観察したツツジの花粉です。乾燥しているのではなく、葯から出たばかりの花粉です。表面が丸くへこんでいて三角錐のような形状です。こんな形状の花粉があるのですね。
